This privacy notice describes what information we collect when you create a Job Profile in the careers section of our web site, how we use that information, and your choices with respect to our use of such information about you.
Information we collect
Hero may collect, process or store personal data relating to you and dependents as declared by you or any other personal information you voluntarily provide about you and your skills and interests.
How we use this information
We will use the data provided to us by you to match against our current job opportunities and requirements. The personal information provided by you in the job application will be used to:
Evaluate your qualifications for the desired position;
Contact you for further information and communication related to your application for a job with us;
Undertake a background investigation including, but not limited to, a criminal background check, a job reference check, and verification of any information you have provided (in case your job application is shortlisted/ as an onboarding process).
Hero will collect adequate, relevant and necessary Personal Information, and will process such information fairly and lawfully for the purpose it is collected. The purpose of collection will be specified not later than at the time of data collection, or on each occasion of change of purpose.
The information held by Hero on its careers section can be checked with you from time to time to ensure that it remains up-to-date. Should your personal circumstances change, you should notify the human resources department and request to update your details immediately.
Hero does not share, sell, rent, or trade personal information collected through its careers section with third parties for their sole promotional purposes or as otherwise outlined in this Privacy Notice. Hero may share information with third party service providers contracted to provide services on our behalf for processing to provide your employment related services and benefits and other business purposes. These third party service providers may only use information we provide to them as requested and instructed by Hero.
Hero may disclose your Personal Information as we believe to be necessary or appropriate:
under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence;
to comply with legal process;
to respond to requests from public and government authorities, including public and government authorities outside your country of residence, for national security and/or law enforcement purposes;
to enforce our terms and conditions; and
to allow us to pursue available remedies or limit the damages that we may sustain.
We may share information with governmental agencies or other companies assisting us in fraud prevention or investigation. We may do so when:

Investigating fraud which has already taken place. The information is not provided to these companies for marketing purposes.
If Hero goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personal information collected through our website may be among the assets transferred. A prominent notice will appear on our website for 30 days after any such change in ownership or control of your personal information along with the updated Privacy Policy and Notice.

You may request to review, correct, update, suppress, or otherwise modify any of your Personal Information that you have previously provided to us through our careers section, or object to the use or processing of such Personal Information by us. You have the ability to update your personal information at any time. While the majority of questions and issues related to access can be handled quickly, complex requests may take more research and time. In such cases, issues will be addressed, or you will be contacted regarding the nature of the problem and appropriate next steps, within 30 days.
Your personal information is stored on our system which may be accessible to other functions within Hero. Hero may transfer your information from various application to other HR systems and store the same.
Your personally identifiable information is kept secure. Only authorized employees (who have agreed to keep information secure and confidential) have access to this information.
Hero ensures standard security measures to ensure the security of information.

We use various technologies to collect and store information when you visit Hero’s website, and this may include using cookies or similar technologies to identify your browser or device. We will retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will respond to your request to access or delete your information within 30 days. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

By creating a Job Profile / submitted applicable details, I acknowledge and agree that the information I have submitted is complete and correct to the best of my knowledge. I understand that in the event of my obtaining employment, my probationary appointment, confirmation as well as continued employment in the services of the company are subject to clearance of medical test and background verification check done by the company. I agree that providing false information in the creation of my Job Profile or during the job application process will lead to my rejection or termination. I have read all the terms and conditions within this Notice.
